I just don’t get God most of the time. He rarely accommodates my schedule. He lets good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. He tells me to relax when my job or my family stresses me out. He even lets me go my own way when He knows I will end up in trouble.

Okay, I’ll admit it: whether it’s in the car or in front of the TV, I like being in control. One of the things about God that drives me crazy is His unquestionable desire to control my life. Is that a good thing?

I hate being late. I think I spent most of my kids’ early years begging them to “hurry up!” I know I’ve spent most of my years asking God to “hurry up.” Trouble is, our schedules rarely match. That drives me crazy!
