The Word
"But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith." (1 Tim. 1:5) We believe the Bible is God's inspired word which leads us to know and experience Him.
Relational Orientation
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:34-35) Our goal is to love, accept and forgive one another, creating an intimate, accountable atmosphere in Christ's body, which frees us to grow in the Holy Spirit.
Prayer
We desire to enter into the presence of God with fervent and powerful prayer. We aim for daily, Spirit-led communication with God. (Hebrews 4:16, Romans 8:26-28, James 5:16-18, Jude 20-21, Colossians 4:2). Furthermore, we aim to follow the patterns of Christ and to pray for the coming Kingdom, for the fullness of the Spirit, for workers to enter the harvest, for healing, deliverance and forgiveness, for peace, love and mercy, for great doors to open for the Gospel and for renewal in the Church. (Matthew 6:10, Matthew 9:37-38, Mark 9:29, Luke 11:13, John 17:1-26, Ephesians 6:19-20)
Ministry to the poor, lost, stray, sick and oppressed
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord." (Luke 4:18-19) We desire to continue Christ's ministry on earth by the power and leading of the Holy Spirit.
Evangelism
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel: it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16) We want to reach the lost and unchurched.
Training
"And His gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." (Eph. 4:11-12) We believe every man, woman and child has a part and needs to be prepared, equipped and directed to God's scheme.
Sending
"Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a member of the court of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, 'Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them'. Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off" (Acts 13:1-3) We have the privilege of giving birth to new works as we send others out, whether locally or in other cities, as the Lord enables us.
